Benefits of Aquatic Fitness
Aquatic fitness classes are an excellent form of exercise in a low impact environment. The many benefits of aquatic fitness include: keeping your heart rate up without impact stress to your body, building endurance, muscle strength, and cardiovascular fitness, helping to maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart and lungs while toning muscles and building strength, and providing an all-over body workout.

Water aerobics classes are offered at our pools seasonally. Classes use both shallow and deep end water to encourage continuous movement and emphasize stretching, cardiovascular, and resistance exercises in a low impact environment. Classes are designed for participants age 16 and older.

Intermediate Swimming for Teens and Adults
This class is designed to assist participants in transitioning from learning how to swim to swimming for fitness. The focus is on conditioning and stroke technique. Participants should be confident in the water and have the knowledge and skills necessary to cross the pool safely.
