Water Safety Month

May is National Water Safety Month!
Celebrate Water Safety during the month of May by attending one of our Water Safety events designed to help you and your family become smarter in and around the water.

Preregistration is required for all events listed.

FREE Swim Lesson Day
Is your child safe around water? Did you want to learn to swim as a child but never had the chance? Try our an introductory level swim lesson for FREE! Preregistration is required.

FREE Water Safety Hour
Participants will watch a video presented by the American Red Cross safety mascot, Longfellow the Whale! You will practice the safety skills taught in the video and receive a "Do Your Part, Be Water Smart" certificate. Swimming is not required, participants will only work on the pool deck and in the classroom.

FREE Hands-Only CPR
Learn the importance of and how to perform hands-only CPR through the American Red Cross Association. By learning this easy skill, you may save a life during an emergency situation.

Boy Scouts Swimming Merit Badge
Trained lifeguards and instructors will teach important safety topics, help with stroke technique, and introduce survival skills in accordance with swimming merit badge requirements.
